6th Annual Judy Dexter Picnic & Cornhole Tournament
Saturday, June 8, 2019 | Highland, Maryland
We are so privileged to host our 6th annual Toss to Stop C. diff Loss-Judy Dexter Picnic & Cornhole Tournament. Last year, with all of your amazing support, we raised over $10,000 to support C. diff education and advocacy! Thank you--without your help, we couldn’t have made that amazing contribution, possible.
So please join us again this year for a day of food, fun and cornhole! The picnic starts at noon where we will have food, beer, sodas and other goodies. This year, a 40-foot moon bouncy obstacle course!
The cornhole tournament starts at 1pm where we hope to have 20 teams compete against each other. NOTE: Like last year, we decided to have random teams so that great play is more spread out.
In addition to the tournament, we will also have another tournament for those want to keep playing. If you cannot make the event and want to contribute, we will miss you but appreciate a donation to help our cause.
The funds raised at our event will support C. diff education and awareness programs, which provide patients and families the knowledge to take action quickly when being discharged from a hospital.
With 300 Americans dying every day from this preventable disease, the Peggy Lillis Foundation (PLF) is building a movement of people across the country to raise awareness and advocate for proven health care and policy solutions. The Peggy Lillis Memorial Foundation (www.peggyfoundation.org) is a Non-Profit organization.
Please make check payable to Peggy Lillis Foundation and note in memo "PLF-Dexter Family Picnic." Send to: Dexter Family, PO Box 121, Clarksville, MD 21029.
Judy Dexter's Toss to Stop C. diff Loss is a lasting tribute to mother, Judy Dexter, who passed away May 30, 2013, as well as the countless individuals that have battled C. diff. Judy fought the disease for 6 months with courage, faith and a strong spirit. In her memory, Judy's husband Chuck and four children, Rich, Scott, Mike and Kirsten raise money to educate patients, families and hospital staff with the necessary knowledge to help them understand the risk factors, symptoms, treatments, and how they can help raise awareness to prevent others from being disabled or killed.
